Up where? The bit up to the 4600m pass was really tough - we were stopping every few metres to catch our breath! But we did see an avalanche as a reward! As for the views looking down to Machu Picchu, the first one was from the top of Waynapicchu (the mountain in the classic photos) and then higher view down was from another mountain above it. It was hard work, especially as we were up at 4am to climb up to Machu Picchu in the first place. And that´s a steep climb from Aguas Calientes!
