Back by popular demand… after the huge success of the Melbourne Advent Calendar I thought I would do another one, starting off with decorations on Carnaby Street, London Town.
Model for a Hotel 2007

Located on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square is a new installation by German artist Thomas Schutte entitled Model for a Hotel 2007.
It is made from different coloured glass, stands at around 5 metres tall, weighs over 8 tons and is said to "collect and reflect the light… like a bright jewel".
It replaces Marc Quinn’s Alison Lapper Pregnant statue.
